Our Programs
Michael's Garden was established to provide adults with functional disabilities and autism an opportunity to gain valuable employment skills through practical, "hands on" training in classes that reinforce these skills.
The training programs at Michael's Garden provide classes that reinforce necessary vocational skills. A social skills group focuses on increasing awareness of interpersonal skills, behavior, and attitudes and how they affect employment and social situations including teamwork, assertiveness and self-advocacy.
During employment skills training, participants discuss issues related to career planning, career exploration, and acquiring and maintaining a job. They develop resumes, practice filling out applications and participate in mock interviews.
The employment programs place an emphasis on the development of physical, social and recreational opportunities. Our professional staff teach adults with special needs the importance of self-advocacy, decision-making and personal choice.
They learn the importance of having a job, but also in planning for leisure time. The program allows time for a social planning committee to organize weekly group events on campus, such as ordering a meal and planning activities. Clients also enjoy planning events in the community as well as participate in Special Olympic events.
The Screen Printing Center and Showroom
The entrepreneurial spirit of Michael's Garden is alive and well. The Screen Printing Center designs and creates a myriad of products, including top quality screen printing services to corporations, schools, small businesses and individuals. In addition to T-shirts, other products designed and created are Haute hats, bags, aprons, cards, and children's wear.
If you are a corporation, school, small businesses or individual needing gift items or memorabilia for a family reunion, sports team, or special event (e.g. team walks, ect.) , Michael's Garden Screen Printing Center can assist you!
The showroom is located at 10215 North 35th Avenue, Suite 111. In addition to our store hours, Michael's Garden participates in many craft shows and has products placed in gift stores throughout the United States.
Gifted Hands Boutique
Gifted Hands Boutique is an exceptional retail store featuring seasonal décor, consigned merchandise, as well as unique handcrafted items made by clients of MG and vocational students at ACCEL.
The Gifted Hands Boutique provides a meaningful work environment in a non-competitive setting, by training adults with disabilities to become productive members of society.

Life Long Experience
The cornerstone of Michael's Garden is education: education in the activities of life and work. Our enterprises entail work our clients learn to perform through the guidance and training of our skilled staff. The center provides opportunities for our clients to learn new skills, enhance their self-esteem, and showcase their contributions.
